AMAZING VIDEO SHOWS EVOLUTION OF CABLE CAR

Published on

October is a big milestone month for the team at Table Mountain Aerial Cableway Company.

This month marks our 90th anniversary of operations, which started way back in 1929 when the first cable-car took visitors to the top of Table Mountain, on 4 October 1929. There have been many updates and refurbishments over the years, and in January this year we welcomed our 28 millionth visitors.

The Cableway has also been nominated in the World Travel Awards, in the “World’s Leading Tourist Attraction” category. Public voting closes next weekend (Sunday 20 October 2019) and the winners will be announced at a glittering prize giving event in November.

They need your vote! Follow this LINK to see exactly how to go about voting.

As part of their 90th anniversary celebrations during October, they are offering R90 return tickets to South African citizens wanting to visit the Mountain. You also stand the chance of winning tickets for 2 to Istanbul. All the terms and conditions are on the website, www.tablemountain.net
