The NCC Wildfires has lauded their all-female firefighting crew, who was among 150 firefighters who recently helped to contain a devastating fire in Noordhoek.  15 young women from across the Mother City who graduated from the Chrysalis Academy in November last year, were deployed to a real life fire incident, for the first time. Upon their arrival the new recruits immediately showcased the skills they developed, during their intense three month training sessions at the academy.

After a grueling first experience of life as a firefighter, the crew went into happy-mode, singing a praise song.

The brave women are the City’s first ever all-female firefighting crew in history.
