The production brings 4 distinct characters to life. This adds new layers of meaning to his songs while reflecting the realities of the communities and lives around us. Roses & Thorns runs at the Pam Golding Theatre at The Baxter. Tickets range from R250 to R350.

The debut of Roses & Thorns took place earlier this year

Roses & Thorns debuted earlier this year. It now returns to the Mother City in a new setting. The production offers audiences an opportunity to experience Nevis’s music through a fresh theatrical lens. Expect songs from his extensive 14-year catalogue, which will be performed with a six-piece live band. Four distinct stories will be brought to life by the award-winning stage and television actor, Dean Smith.

With its combination of live performance, character-driven storytelling and cinematic visuals, Roses & Thorns offers audiences a distinctive take on the live music experience – one that celebrates the power of a song to entertain, move and connect us.
