South African Guide-Dogs Association have launched a beautiful initiative “Where Your Shades“, a nationwide campaign for World Sight Month held annually on Friday, October 17 in 2025.

Toni Erasmus, Marketing Manager for the South African Guide-Dogs Association and Luigia Nichols joined The Joy Ride with Angel Campey along beautiful guide dog, Millie, to talk about their campaign.

“Wear Your Shades” seeks to raise awareness for eye health and show support for the visually impaired. To participate, you can buy a R20 sticker and wear your favorite sunglasses to show solidarity. 

Funds raised from sticker purchases support the South African Guide-Dogs Association‘s initiatives, including training assistance dogs and providing Orientation and Mobility services.
