When you hear the word Ferrari, what hits you first? It’s a complete sensory overload. You immediately think of racing history, red paint, and the absolute peak of human aspiration.

As the legendary Enzo Ferrari once said:

Ask a child to draw a car, and certainly he will draw it red

It’s one of the few brands on Earth that completely transcends its actual product. People who don’t know a turbocharger from a tailpipe still care about Ferrari. We can thank pop culture and motorsport for that.

Lately, Maranello has been on a roll. Their lineup over the last five years brought us the Purosangue in 2023—a brutal four-door sports car (just don’t call it an SUV if you value your life). Then came the Roma, the Daytona SP3, the 12Cilindri, and the stunning 296 GTB.

We weren’t even mad at the creeping electrification in cars like the SF90 XX or the new F80 hypercar. Why? Because hybrid batteries meant one thing: terrifying amounts of extra power.

But then, they went full tilt. Enter the unceremonious introduction of the Ferrari Luce—the stuff of absolute purist nightmares.

Ferrari unveils 'Luce', its first fully electric car, in a tough market
The Ferrari Luce – also known in some circles as the Ferrari Voetsek [Daai Kant Toe].

It’s a 1,050-horsepower, five-seat EV liftback designed in collaboration with Apple’s former design guru, Jony Ive. It practically screams, “We’re jumping on the electric bandwagon, and because there’s a Prancing Horse on the nose, you’re forced to love it.”

Honestly? They pulled a Kurt Darren –  went straight from the beloved “Kaptein” to singing “67”!

Nobody was happy about the direction Apple, sorry, Ferrari were going and many shared their pure disgust at what Ferrari cooked up on The Joy Ride with Angel Campey.

Here are Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc and Lewis Hamilton unveiling what should’ve never seen the light of day.
