Another double murder in the Northern suburbs

There’s been another double murder in the Northern suburbs in Cape Town, this time in Ravensmead. Last week, the City reeled in shock, following three double murders on the same day, also in the northern suburbs, but that time, the crimes were carried out in Kraaifontein.

In the latest incident, yesterday morning in Ravensmead, two people were found with gunshot wounds in Agnus Court, in Milldene Street. Police officers were called to the scene shortly after 3 a.m. On arrival, they found the two bodies of men, aged 19 and 35. A third person who was wounded was taken to a medical facility for treatment.

Sergeant Wesley Twigg says it’s not clear how many people were involved in the attack. The suspect or suspects fled the scene. He added that all 3 men had gunshot wounds to their bodies. Members are investigating two cases of murder and one of attempted murder.

 

Twigg says the motive has not yet been established.
