The City has been rocked by more fatal shootings, with three double murders in close proximity in Kraaifontein on Tuesday.

The latest incident took place on Taleman Street in Wallacedene at 23:40, in which two women were shot and killed. A third victim was wounded in this incident.

“The 19- and 25-year-old victims were declared deceased on the scene by medical personnel while the 24-year-old victim was taken to a medical facility for treatment,” said Western Cape police spokesperson, Wesley Twigg.

Just ten minutes prior, in Molefe Street, another two women were gunned down.

“Police members responded to a complaint of a shooting and upon arrival on the scene they found the victims inside a bedroom with gunshot wounds to their heads. Both victims were declared deceased on the scene by medical personnel,” added Twigg.

These incidents follow a double murder on the corner of 9th Avenue and Verster Street in Eikendal. Two victims in their twenties were killed.

While police originally said that this incident occurred on Monday, Twigg later confirmed that the incident in Eikendal occurred hours before the previously mentioned incidents, at about 21:50.

“On Monday, 08 September 2025, at about 21:50… [officers] found the bodies of two victims age 20 and 22 who sustained gunshot wounds… The suspects fled the scene and are yet to be arrested.”

Western Cape police spokesperson, Wesley Twigg, confirmed that the motive for these incidents is under investigation.

“The possibility that these incidents is linked is not ruled out.”
