The story so far: We’re starting a band

It started with an idea to put together a band of people who wanted a chance to shine. Ryan wondered if our listeners could out perform the team.

We partnered with our friends at Skin Renewal and got some fantastic judges on board:

We put it out there and got thousands of entries from talented listeners who played various instruments showcasing their talent.

Where are we now?

We’ve gone through all the entries and handpicked a few finalist drummers, keyboardists, guitarists, and singers. They’ve all gone through the final judging process and showed us their stuff at the live auditions.

Phil de Lange
Phil de Lange is the producer of the Ryan O'Connor Breakfast show and has been with Smile 90.4FM since it's inception in 2013. Through his work on the breakfast show he has won two national radio awards. He has been in broadcasting for 15 years and has honed his talent at 6 different radio stations. Outside of radio he is also a podcast producer and award winning stand-up comedian.
