Ladles of Love is issuing a heartfelt call to South Africa’s youth as school holidays wind down. Here is the heartfelt call: “Log off your games and social feeds, and show up to help your country.” This Mandela Day, young people are invited to step into Nelson Mandela’s powerful legacy by volunteering their time to help small children in need.

Ladles of Love’s Mandela Day events this year are bigger than ever before and hosted at DHL Stadium in Cape Town and Kyalami Grand Prix Circuit in Johannesburg.  Parents are requested to encourage their children to do their hands-on community service with Ladles of Love and make items, which nourish and nurture grow preschool children.

PUT DOWN THE CONTROLLER, PICK UP PURPOSE

Programme Director at Ladles of Love, Yolanda Jones is calling all parents and scholars who are looking for somewhere, and something meaningful to do for their ‘Community Service’ to join their Mandela Day Events.

“You can do 8-hours of official volunteering with us and have fun doing good for good” says Yolanda Jones, Programme Director at Ladles of Love.

She added, that they need young South Africans to realize that giving back isn’t optional but vital. Jones says, when you give your time, you’re helping to build the South Africa you want to live in.
