Another triple murder: 3 killed in Harare

Yet another group of three people have been killed in Cape Town. Three men were gunned down on Ntlazane Road in Harare, Khayelitsha, on Thursday night.

Western Cape Police spokesperson, Colonel Andre Traut, says officers attached to the Provincial Serious and Violent Crime Unit were called out to the scene at around 22:00.

The victims were 29, 30, and 43 years old.

“At approximately 22:00, SAPS members were alerted to the scene in Ntlazane Road, where the bodies of the victims were discovered with multiple gunshot wounds,” said Traut.

The motive behind the attack is not known, and detectives from the Provincial Serious and Violent Crime Unit are currently trying to track down the suspects.

“[Detectives] are pursuing leads that could assist in identifying and locating the suspects responsible for the triple murder.”

Traut said all investigated avenues are being looked into to understand the circumstances of the incident.

This is the second group killing this week, after a similar group murder in Gugulethu.

Three people were shot and killed, and two others injured, in Moletsane Street, New Crossroads, on Wednesday night. No arrests have been made for this case yet.

Further to this, these most recent killings make up the third mass murder in the space of a week. Four people, including an elderly woman, were killed in Reenberg Street, Bishop Lavis, last Friday.
