Grammy award-winning artist, Zakes Bantwini along with a stellar line-up of local artists, will take to the stage for his Abantu concert on 28 October 2023.
This is the African artist to headline a show at DHL Stadium.
The Abantu concert is the brainchild of South African Grammy award-winning singer and producer, Zakes Bantwini. It is named after his upcoming album Abantu, meaning ‘people’ and offers an experience that celebrates unity and freedom through music.
The Osama hit maker is set to make history in the Mother City as the first African artist to headline a music concert at the iconic venue for a full day of entertainment, starting from midday until midnight.
Zakes Bantwini will light up the stage for a showcase of his best hits and will share the stage with fellow star-studded South African artists such as GoldFish, Musa Keys, K.O, Nomcebo Zikode, Mi Casa, YoungstaCPT, Goodluck, Jeremy Loops, Major League DJz, Sun-El Musician, Boity, Ami Faku and more.
Mayor, Geordin Hill-Lewis says the City is excited to be working with Bantwini and his team to bring a unique and inclusive event to the people of Cape Town, while also having a global appeal to all music fans.
It is inspiring to see the opportunities this creates for artists to develop and expand their fan base. We look forward to welcoming this incredible music celebration to our vibrant city.
