The South African Revenue Service (SARS) will now deploy 150 temporary contact center agents, to assist at offices where stoppages have been experienced due to the ongoing strike.

SARS Commissioner, Edward Kieswetter, says this deployment also forms part of the agency’s drive to speed up and improve SARS’s services, now and in the future.

Kieswetter says this will also ensure that future disruptions and strikes do not negatively impact SARS services.
