Still no word if there’s going to be relief for motorists

Consumers anxiously await a steep fuel price increase announcement, which could see them pay nearly R25 a litre. In a temporary reprieve, between the beginning of April until today, consumers were protected from a R1,50 fuel levy – but in the absence of an extension, the price is set to increase by nearly R4. The CEO of the civic Organisation Undoing Tax Abuse, Wayne Duvenhage says the detrimental rise in fuel prices is in line with global oil prices resulting from Russia’s invasion of Ukraine:
