Emergency services personnel say there were no major injuries in the multi-car pile-up on the N1 this morning and only one person sustained minor injuries.
13 vehicles were involved in a crash when a truck jack-knifed on the N1 near the Plattekloof Bridge in Panorama. It caused major chaos during morning peak traffic as motorists were diverted or had to find an alternative route.
Dramatic photos from the crash scene show at least one car crushed under the truck.
