3 people, people – two men and a woman – have been arrested after the statue of Boer War General Louis Botha outside Parliament was given a spray of red paint and the heel of his boot torn off.
This happened within metres of the police, who patrol the legislative complex. The trio face charges of malicious damage to property, resisting arrest as well as assault of police officers.
