National State of Disaster extended to 15 April 2022

Co-operative Governance Minister Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma has signed off on another extension of the National State of Disaster, until 15 April 2022.

Today marked two years since the Disaster regulations were implemented.

Calls had been mounting for it to be scrapped.

Government says it had to be extended again as laws are still being amended to deal with the impact of the pandemic.
