Residents are urged to register online for Census 2022

Published on

The 4th census of South Africa’s population since the advent of democracy starts this month and Stats SA has called on all residents to get counted.

The nationwide population count is from 3 to 28 February.

This will also be the country’s first digital census.

Statistician-General Risenga Maluleke says about 165 000 fieldworkers will still be going door to door.

Statistics South Africa will spend R3.2 billion on the census, targeting 17 million households to collect demographic data.
