Mitchell’s Plain Hospital of Hope to be decommissioned

Published on

Premier Alan Winde says the Western Cape Government will now go ahead with its plans to decommission the Mitchell’s Plain Hospital of Hope.

He today announced that the province has now officially exited the fourth wave of the Covid-19 pandemic.

He says the province has sufficient capacity that can be activated in future, should the need arise.

Winde says Covid-19 cases, and persons under investigation for Covid-19, currently make up only 7% of hospital capacity in both Metro and rural regional hospitals.
