An Infectious Diseases Physician at Tygerberg Hospital, Dr Jantjie Taljaard says during the third wave, all the people admitted, in the hospital’s Intensive Care Unit were not vaccinated.

His voice joins that of other healthcare workers in the province, who say they’ve seen that vaccines save lives. The spokesperson for the provincial health department, Maret Lesch says there’s a call on chronic medical condition patients to urgently head to sites.
