A number of “anti-looting” protests are taking place across the Mother City where residents are stationed outside shopping centres to protect them from any potential looting.

The Western Cape Provincial Disaster Management Centre has again confirmed there have been no verified incidents of looting reported for any region in the Western Cape.

There has been a report of taxi related violence on the N2 but no further incidents have been reported.
