The Head of Health in the Western Cape, Dr Keith Cloete says the province is continuing to monitor waste-water systems - for any sign of Covid-19 outbreaks in com-mu-ni-ties. The initiative is being led by the Medical Research Council, in collaboration with municipalities. Cloete says the province is in what he calls 'containment mode' - with teams on high alert for any possible sign of cluster outbreaks. He says in the Metro alone, 15 waste water treatment plants are being monitored.
