The minister of health, Dr. Zweli Mkhize says another 931 new cases of the coronavirus have been reported over the the latest 24-hour monitoring period. At the same time, 66 people have died of the respiratory illness, taking the death toll to 53 322. At the moment, there are more than 21 000 active cases of the virus in the country, of which more than 5 000 are in Kwa-Zulu-Natal followed by the Western Cape, with more than 4 900 cases.
