The Special Investigating Unit says 13,3 billion rand worth of government Personal Protective Equipment expenditure is subject to investigation. SIU head advocate Andy Mothibi says 26-percent of the entire investigation is finalised. He says political pressure is just one of the reasons that played a role in the awarding of PPE tenders.
