Health minister Dr Zweli Mkhize says the country has recorded 12 710 new Covid-19 cases in the past 24 hours. This follows, two consecutive days of fewer than 10 000 new infections. At the same time, 566 new Covid-19 related deaths were reported. The national death toll is now on 38 854. The recovery rate is 84.7%.
