Premier Alan Winde says truck-loads of medical oxygen were delivered to the province in the past week to be used in Western Cape hospitals. Winde has reassured residents there is no shortage of oxygen for medical purposes and that contingency plans have been put in place. He says the combined oxygen consumption of private and state hospitals in the Western Cape has stood at close to 73 tonnes a day over the past week.
