The Western Cape once again reported more than a thousand new covid-19 cases yesterday, with the province’s overall infection figure now standing at more than 156,170. To date, close to 126,000 people have already recovered, while more than 25,190 people still have active forms of the virus. Over the past 24 hours, another 28 deaths have been recorded, bringing the Western Cape’s covid-19 death toll to 5,125.
