The South African Democratic Teachers Union says it would today file an urgent court application, to interdict the department of Basic Education’s decision, to have Matrics rewrite two of their exams. The union says it believes the decision was unfair and premature because the investigation into the leaking of the papers had not been concluded. Basic Education Minister Angie Motshekga on Friday announced that the Mathematics paper 2 would be re-written on December 15, and Physical Science paper 2, on December 17.
