Listen: Youth invited to apply for 3,000 D.B.E. Employment Initiative jobs!

Published on

The Department of Basic Education says up to 3,000 young people are set to benefit from its new job-creation initiative.

The Department says its Basic Education Employment Initiative forms part of President Cyril Ramaphosa’s Employment Stimulus Programme.

Media liaison officer at the Department, Terence Khala says the initiative is aimed at young people, between the ages of 18 and 35 years.

The Department says it has partnered with the Harambee Youth Employment Accelerator, to digitise the recruitment process.

This, according to the Department, will make it much easier for the country’s tech-savy young people.

Khala says candidates can apply via their cellphones or by visiting the Department’s website.

To find out more on the initiative, or to apply, call 0800 72 72 72, or visit education.gov.za
