The Independent Community Pharmacy Association says young South Africans are keen to get their turn to be vaccinated against Covid-19.
Registration for this age-group will open on 1 September.
The Head of the ICPA, Jackie Maiman, says pharmacies are inundated by calls from younger people asking if they can walk in and get a jab.
The association’s member-pharmacies are already administering more than 30,000 injections per day.
Maiman says this number will soon be scaled up, to reach in excess of 50,000 vaccinations per day.
