More vigilance needed to avoid a resurgence of Covid-19

The Department of Health says even though most of the country’s provinces seems to have passed the peak of the third wave, vigilance is still needed to avoid a resurgence in Covid-19 infections.

According to the Department of Health’s Deputy Director General, Dr. Anban Pillay the Limpopo, Mpumalanga, Gauteng and North-West provinces have, over the past 2 week, shown a gradual decline in their positivity rates.

He warns that the Western Cape, Northern Cape and KZN continues to record high numbers of infections.
