Local cyclists are gearing up to cycle 500 km in 24 hours in an attempt to raise R1 million in funds that will go towards various children charities.

The Distance for Difference (D4D) organization will host a fundraising cycling event this weekend, starting at the Lord Charles Hotel and they’ve urged the public to support them by entering on their website.

The Founder of D4D Stephan Pieterse, says over the last 15 years the organization contributed towards children’s charities or individual children in need and have raised close to R7 million for charities since their inception.
