The Western Cape’s new premier Alan Winde plans to have a very different relationship with social media than his predecessor.

Helen Zille is no stranger to courting controversy for airing her views on Twitter, most notably that colonialism had some benefits. She is currently having to answer for her comments around “black privilege” and how that relates to “white privilege.”

Of course she’s not the only leader known for rubbing the Twittersphere up the wrong way and setting tongues wagging. Donald Trump has become the undisputed king of that.
