The Western Cape Education Department has urged schools to still adhere to the attendance rules that are in place, under the current level one lockdown regulations.

This, after uncertainty among schools whether they should have learners attend schools again on a full-time bases.

Director of Communications at the WCED, Bronagh Hammond says there have been discussions on the matter – on both national and provincials levels – schools should continue their rotational-teaching schedule, as no changes have been officially announced.

Hammond urges schools to contact the Department for clarity.
