The United Democratic Movement (UDM) has called on President Cyril Ramaphosa to step aside and temporarily vacate his office to allow for a proper investigation into the alleged theft of millions of US dollars from his Limpopo game farm.

UDM leader Bantu Holomisa says his party has asked Parliament to set up a panel of retired judges to investigate the theft which reportedly took place in February of 2020.

Holomisa spoke to eNCA and says it is especially worrying that the SAPS and State Security services have also been implicated in the matter.

Ramaphosa, speaking at an ANC gathering over the weekend, assured party members that the stolen cash was not from the proceeds of crime.

Ramaphosa says he will work with law enforcement agencies to allow for a proper investigation.
