Focused Support for Matrics During the Holidays

One of the standout venues was Protea Heights Academy in Brackenfell, where learners received targeted tutoring in Mathematics and Physical Science. Learners shared that the extra lessons made a significant difference, with more detailed content coverage and an engaging environment that kept them motivated.

“Attending classes at a different venue with learners from other schools helped me stay focused and interested,” one matric learner commented.

More Support Ahead as Matrics Return to School

As the third term begins, matric learners will continue receiving extra support through weekend #BackOnTrack classes. These sessions are designed to ensure consistent academic reinforcement leading up to the crucial exam period.

Teacher Training to Boost Quality of Education

The programme also extended support to educators, with 95 Grade 10 and 11 Mathematics teachers receiving intensive training during the break. This initiative aims to enhance teaching strategies and better prepare learners for term 3.

Investing in the Future of Western Cape Matriculants

The Western Cape Education Department extends its gratitude to all learners, teachers, and tutors who dedicated part of their holiday to improving educational outcomes.

“Their hard work and commitment will pay off at exam time and contribute to long-term success,” the department said.

The #BackOnTrack programme is a powerful example of how targeted support can uplift matric learners and drive better results across the province.
