The Western Cape vaccination rate has increased by a further 16 thousand injections since yesterday with more than 138-thousand inhabitants, over 60 years of age, who have already received their Covid-19 vaccination .

By Tuesday afternoon, the Western Cape Department of Health said that more than 120,000 pensioners had already received their injection.

By yesterday afternoon, more than 138-thousand pensioners had already received one dose of their two-dose Pfizer vaccine.

The province’s overall vaccination rate currently stands at 229 779.
