The Western Cape has reported a further 18 Covid-19 deaths over the past 24-hour monitoring period.

This brings the province’s Covid-19 death toll to 11 881.

A day earlier, only 6 deaths had been recorded in the province.

Gauteng reported the country’s highest death toll yesterday with 25 people there losing their battle against the virus.

The Free State is in third place with 23 deaths.

South Africa’s cumulative Covid-19 death toll has risen to 57 063 after the country recorded 89 deaths yesterday.
