The Table Mountain Cableway reopens today – weather permitting

The Table Mountain Cableway reopens today, weather permitting.  This follows the completion of its annual maintenance. According to the Media Officer at the Table Mountain Aerial Cableway Company (TMACC), the annual shutdown allows them to carry out essential upgrades and to make sure the Cableway runs at the highest possible standards.

TMACC’s Executive Director, Selma Hercules, says the Cableway is freshly serviced and ready to roll. She says the Cableway is welcoming visitors to experience the magic of one of the New7Wonders of Nature. The cableway was closed for a short break for its annual maintenance, from 28 July to 3 August.
“We’re delighted to welcome visitors to the mountain!” says TMACC’s Executive Director, Selma Hercules.
