The state capture inquiry ended abruptly this afternoon (Fri 15 Jan). Commission Chairperson, Deputy Chief Justice Raymond Zondo, was in close contact with someone who’s tested positive for COVID-19. Zondo will now go into isolation. It comes in the midst of explosive evidence from former Eskom CEO, Brian Molefe. Molefe repeated allegations that Glencore sold shares to President Cyril Ramphosa to use his political power to its benefit and to disadvantage the power utility.
