The National Health Department says 5 074 new cases of Covid-19 have been reported in the country, over the latest 24-hour period.

Another 45 people have died taking the death toll to 56 974. To date, more than 1.3-million vaccines have been administered.

Meanwhile, Public Works and Infrastructure Minister Patricia de Lille says she has tested positive for Covid-19. This as many provinces have declared a third wave of infections. De Lille made the announcement in a tweet yesterday. She is self-quarantining.
