The IEC in the Western Cape says voting went largely smoothly in the province yesterday.

The province’s, chief electoral officer Michael Hendrikse says besides the rain causing some problems with tented voting stations, a small number of voting stations had power issues. There are also fears that the voter turnout could be lower this year due to the weather.
