Life-changing Insights from Coaching the World’s Best Cricketers
In 2008, a few days after being selected to coach the Indian cricket team, Gary Kirsten and Paddy Upton set themselves the goals of winning the World Cup in 2011 and becoming the number one Test team in the world. Over three years of their innovative and creative coaching methods, the team achieved these goals, and more.
Paddy’s journey has included being international cricket’s first fitness trainer, mental coach in multiple professional sports, performance director of the South African cricket team that became the first to simultaneously hold the world’s number one ranking in all three formats of the game, head coach across three of the world’s premier T20 cricket leagues, and a University professor.

Paddy joined Benito Vergotine in studio on Wednesday 24 July to tell use more about his book “The Barefoot Coach” and to share his life-changing insights from coaching the world best cricketers.
