The Health Department says it hopes the digital Covid-19 vaccination certificates will be sent out to South Africans today still.

Acting Director-General at the Department, Dr. Nicholas Crisp says they are still testing the system and sending out the certificates will depend on the outcome of the tests.

He says it is not possible to say what time and whether the certificates will be sent out today.

The Department last week said that the millions of South Africans, who have already been vaccinated would receive their electronic vaccination certificates via SMS, from today.
