Close to 60-thousand Western Cape residents received their Covid-19 vaccination, across the province, this past weekend.

The Western Cape Health Department had more than 300 vaccination sites in operation, as part of the nationwide Vooma Vaccination Weekend-initiative.

A total of 59,429 vaccinations were administered.

The province has, to date, vaccinated more than 40% of its residents, with the aim of injecting 70% of its population by Christmas this year.
