The DHL Stormers will take on the Vodacom Bulls in a highly anticipated United Rugby Championship match at DHL Stadium on Saturday, 8 February 2025. With over 45,000 spectators expected to attend, the City of Cape Town has issued a game-day advisory detailing transport arrangements, parking options, and road restrictions.

Stormers vs Bulls, set to cause traffic delays

This fixture marks the Stormers’ final home game for the next two months. The team will return to DHL Stadium on 19 April to face Irish side, Connacht. The upcoming clash against their northern rivals presents an opportunity for the Stormers to climb the log.

Road Restrictions and Transport Options

Gates at DHL Stadium will open at 11:00, with kick-off scheduled for 14:00. To facilitate a smooth arrival, the City has urged spectators to plan ahead.

“Due to limited parking in Green Point, we recommend parking in the CBD and either using the free MyCiTi shuttle or walking via the Fan Walk to the stadium,” said Alderman JP Smith, Mayoral Committee Member for Safety and Security.

A complimentary MyCiTi shuttle service will operate exclusively for ticket holders, with pick-ups from the Civic Centre, Thibault Square, and the Cape Town International Convention Centre (CTICC). The service begins at 10:30, with the last return bus departing from the stadium at 18:00. The CTICC shuttle will depart from the City Sightseeing bus stop near Entrance 3 on Walter Sisulu Avenue.

Parking Options

Approximately 1,000 parking bays will be available at the CTICC at a cost, with online booking recommended. These will open from 10:00.

“Our Safety and Security teams will be deployed to ensure a seamless, safe, and enjoyable experience for everyone,” says Smith.

The City will also provide free parking bays for ticket holders from 10:00, accessible from Hertzog Boulevard and Civic Road, on a first-come, first-served basis. Additional paid parking will be available at Parkalot on Jack Craig Street and Harbour Arch on Harbour Arch Boulevard.
