The Department of Home Affairs announced that it has extended the validity period of legally issued visas, which expired during the lockdown period. The extension applies to short-term visas, issued for a period not longer than 90 days, which will now be valid until 30 June 2021. The validity of longer-term temporary visas (issued for a period of three months to three years) has been extended to 31 July 2021.
