The department of health says just eight Covid-19 related deaths have been recorded in the latest monitoring period, taking the death toll to 52 995. The 8 fatalities were recorded in the Free State and Gauteng provinces. At the same time, there were 452 new infections, with cumulative infections now on just over 1.552-million.
