The Department of Basic Education says it has received reports that learners in the Western Cape may have also had access to the leaked Matric Mathematics 2 paper. The Department has now asked the Hawks to investigate the extent to which the exam paper was spread. The Department initially said only a few learners in Gauteng and Limpopo had obtained the paper, hours before the exams were written.
