The Constitutional Court has dismissed suspended Public Protector Busisiwe Mkhwebane’s application for leave to appeal a judgment on former SARS deputy commissioner Ivan Pillay’s pension package.

In its ruling yesterday, the apex court says it considered the application and “concluded that the application should be dismissed as it bears no reasonable prospects of success”.
