The ANC said that Ace Magashule remained secretary-general of the party, this as a leaked document from the integrity committee showed that it had recommended that he steps aside from his role with immediate effect. Magashule has been at the center of recent battles over the party’s 2017 resolutions for members implicated in serious crimes to step aside, this as he and several others have refused to do so. He is facing charges of corruption, fraud and money laundering.
